The game now features a mission generation system, with a first set of basic ferry missions.
From now the overall objective will be to develop new sets of missions along the new features added to the simulation. As mentioned in the video, the coming ship’s sensors should enable core patrol and surveillance operations.
Under the hood the internal generator is based on “mission templates”, with build requests sent by game agents. While the “Alliance Fleet Command” is a basic and generic one, that should also enable more personal operations issued by persistent teams of operatives for instance.
Regarding user-defined missions, the generator is compiling mission objects using the very same instructions that are part of the API for the import system. That is, all the functions demonstrated in internally built operations are available to mission creators too.
