The ship’s electro-optical pods are finally operational! 🔭
They are now simulated as proper equipment parts with their specifications, electrical, thermal and wear models. And of course they integrate a specific “image processing” layer to treat the returns from the sensors PHY layer.
In effect the optical pods represent the first tactical system to be fitted to the ship so a new “OrbInt” controller (Orbspace Intelligence) was also implemented to manage the sensor “tracks” and their treatment into full-fledged “contacts”.
As mentioned in the video the development will now focus on implementing the analysis layer to treat the raw output from the sensors (trajectory determination, target identification and current state).
